Secure Remote File Access for Public Sector

MyWorkDrive gives government agencies secure remote file access to the storage they already own, without moving data to a vendor cloud. The software installs as a gateway on agency infrastructure, on premises or in Azure Government, and connects staff to existing Windows file shares, SharePoint, OneDrive, S3, Azure Files, and Azure Blob storage over HTTPS. Files stay on government servers because the architecture never copies, syncs, or stores them anywhere else. There is no new data processor to authorize and no third-party cloud to add to a system security plan.

Agencies use MyWorkDrive to replace VPN for file access. Instead of granting broad network access, MyWorkDrive brokers application-level access to specific shares, which reduces lateral movement risk and supports Zero Trust architectures consistent with agency modernization mandates. Authentication runs through the identity provider the agency already manages, whether Active Directory, Entra ID, or SAML, with MFA and Conditional Access enforced at the identity layer. Existing NTFS and SharePoint permissions remain authoritative; MyWorkDrive can restrict access further by policy but can never grant more than the file system allows.

For public sector security reviews, the platform provides FIPS 186-4 validated RSA cryptography (NIST Certificate #3018), alignment with CMMC 2.0 control families for access control, audit, identification, and system protection, and a self-hosted model suited to CUI, CJIS, and HIPAA data handling requirements. A centralized audit trail records file opens, downloads, edits, and shares across every connected storage type, with Syslog export to Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or QRadar for FISMA reporting. Data loss prevention controls can disable downloads, printing, and clipboard use per share, group, or user, and apply dynamic watermarks for sensitive documents. A fully on-premises deployment option with Office Online Server supports air-gapped document editing.

Deployment averages under two hours from install to first user, with no data migration and no re-permissioning.
