AI for Security: Hype vs. Reality

Artificial intelligence has had seesawing fortunes over the span of several decades, but is currently enjoying a resurgence of high expectations in the security community.That devotion is gratifying, and some of it might even be deserved. But the community will be better served by a more thorough and dispassionate look at practical applications of AI tools and techniques such as those described in this report.
