Carahsoft hosted the in-person OpenAI Codex Bootcamp for government teams and contractors supporting Government work, on May 1st, 2026, at the Carahsoft Conference and Collaboration Center in Reston, VA. The session combined setup, instruction, practical examples and hands-on building. 

 

Attendees were able to:

• Gain an understanding of introductions to Codex and how to get started
• Discover how OpenAI employees apply Codex use cases in their own work and with customers
• Spend time building with Codex on their own or with a team
• Learn various applications through demo sharing among participants
