Integral & Open Systems, Inc. (IOS) develops artificial intelligence, intelligent sensing, and software engineering solutions for the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian agencies, healthcare organizations, and critical infrastructure. We build software that helps organizations collect, understand, and act on complex information from multiple sources, allowing people to make better decisions when time, uncertainty, and operational risk matter.
A key focus area for IOS is healthcare AI. Our flagship platform, SOAR™ (Suicide Observation and Risk Assessment), was developed to support behavioral health professionals by combining conversational AI, speech and language analysis, clinical documentation, patient history, and other relevant data into a single clinical decision support environment. Rather than replacing clinician judgment, SOAR provides explainable insights that help care teams identify behavioral health concerns, monitor changes over time, and support more informed clinical decisions. The platform was designed with military and veteran populations in mind but is applicable to broader behavioral health, operational medicine, and digital health initiatives across the public sector.
Beyond healthcare, IOS develops software for mission planning, autonomous systems, digital engineering, intelligent sensing, computer vision, and operational decision support. Our systems integrate data from sensors, imagery, telemetry, text, audio, and other sources to help engineers, analysts, and operators better understand rapidly changing environments. We also develop edge AI solutions capable of running in cloud, hybrid, and resource-constrained environments where reliable connectivity cannot be assumed.
Our engineering teams have experience developing solutions that support Digital Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), DevSecOps, AI-enabled analytics, sensor fusion, simulation, FPGA-accelerated computing, and secure cloud-native software. We design our platforms using open architectures and standards-based interfaces so they can integrate with existing government systems and evolve as mission requirements change.
IOS works closely with government agencies, research organizations, healthcare providers, and industry partners to move new technologies from research into operational use. As a Small Business, we provide the flexibility to prototype quickly while delivering solutions that are engineered for long-term deployment, integration, and sustainment.
Federal customers can acquire IOS software and professional services through Carahsoft, with products and services available through NASA SEWP via Carahsoft, as well as the GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS). These contract vehicles provide government agencies with streamlined access to IOS technologies supporting defense modernization, healthcare innovation, and mission-critical operations.
