Anonomatic Solutions for the Public Sector
PII Vault®
- The master component of Anonomatic’s data security and privacy platform. Delivered as a Docker® container, PII Vault is fast and scalable, and delivers the highest level of personal data protection available.
- Legacy protection methods such as encryption and tokenization typically must be removed before sensitive data can actually be used. PII Vault is different: its patented PolyAnonymization® technology, together with PolyTokenization, protects data while still allowing it to be used in its protected state. Re-identification is only required when acting on data at the individual level — such as sending a statement to a citizen. Every other action can be performed, without exception, on protected data.
- Because PII Vault enables secure use of data while it remains protected, agencies can expand data access for analytics, reporting, and collaboration while simultaneously reducing governance overhead and compliance risk.
- In addition to patented PolyAnonymization and PolyTokenization, PII Vault includes a full suite of proprietary and industry-standard protections, including AES-256 encryption, format-preserving encryption (FPE), format-preserving tokenization, dynamic data masking, and synthetic data masking — giving agencies the flexibility to apply the right protection for every use case.
- Built from the ground up for speed and scale, PII Vault handles databases and multi-database environments of any size. Rather than imposing a performance penalty, PII Vault has been proven to improve data query performance in many use cases.
PII-free Data Cleanrooms
- Data scientists and other users frequently require access to sensitive data that is too risky to expose through conventional means — and even when access is permitted, the governance overhead of monitoring, reporting, and compliance can result in significant cost and schedule overruns. With PII Vault, patented PolyAnonymization, and Privacy ETL, data scientists gain access to all the data they need to generate 100% accurate, individualized results — entirely on PolyAnonymized data. No PII is ever at risk of loss or exposure, yet data can be matched and analyzed at the individual level. This capability is uniquely and exclusively available from Anonomatic.
Privacy ETL (Patented)
- Privacy ETL uses patented technology to move data between locations or states while applying all necessary security and privacy protections in transit — eliminating the need to stage sensitive values before transformation and closing a critical window of exposure.
- Privacy ETL applies the same patented PolyAnonymization and PolyTokenization technologies as PII Vault, along with format-preserving encryption (FPE), AES-256 encryption, tokenization, dynamic data masking, and synthetic data masking.
- Privacy ETL also enables agencies to create and maintain complex data protection transformation rules through patented, no-code Anonomatic Schemas — making it fast and easy to define which values are sensitive and how they should be protected. This dramatically simplifies implementation, cutting what could otherwise take months or years down to a fraction of the time.
Data Sharing
- Agencies at every level can improve services and mission outcomes when they can quickly, easily, and safely share data with one another. Anonomatic makes this possible by enabling the sharing of personal-level data without sharing any personal identifiers. When combined with Anonymous Data Matching, agencies can gain insights from peer agencies and augment their own data — all without any risk of exposing or compromising personal identifiers.
Anonymous Data Matching (Patented)
- Going beyond data sharing, Anonomatic’s Anonymous Data Matching enables agencies to securely share PolyAnonymized data for multi-party computation. Records are linked across agencies without requiring the sharing of protected values — sensitive identifiers such as names, IDs, or birthdates are never at risk — delivering individual-level analytics and insights while keeping personal data fully protected. This entirely new approach to multi-party computation makes secure, cross-agency collaboration possible at a level never before achievable.
Synthetic Data Masking
- Every organization needs production data for non-production purposes — engineering, testing, training, and more — yet data security and privacy requirements often make this impossible, or force agencies into time-consuming, home-grown solutions. Synthetic Data Masking makes the process fast and easy, synthesizing the limited set of identifying values needed to render an entire dataset safe while preserving its structure and usability. Values can also be smoothed or transformed as needed, eliminating any opportunity for re-identification through linkage with third-party data.
Privacy SQL
- Powered by a JDBC-compliant driver, Privacy SQL gives third-party reporting and business intelligence tools — such as Tableau and Business Objects — safe, secure access to sensitive data, without exposing protected values outside the platform or requiring reporting users to have direct access to the underlying database.
