Flashpoint for the Intelligence Community

In response to the dynamic changes in the global information environment, the Intelligence Community must continually adapt to counter asymmetric national security threats. This involves acquiring timely, relevant, and effective information from both public and commercial sources (PAI and CAI) to generate open-source intelligence (OSINT)—which is now regarded as the ‘INT of first resort’ to address specific intelligence priorities, requirements, or gaps.
