Exabeam Delivers Behavior Monitoring Solution Specifically for Federal Departments and Agencies

Purpose-built for OMB M-21-31 EL3 compliance to detect compromised user credentials, privileged user compromise, improper asset access, compromised system/host/device, and lateral movement of threat actors

FOSTER CITY, Calif. — July 11, 2023 —Exabeam, a global cybersecurity leader and creator of New-Scale SIEM™ for advancing security operations, today announced a unique user behavior monitoring solution designed for federal departments and agencies on the practical steps to improve the prevention, detection, assessment, and remediation of cyber incidents targeting government organizations. The solution is available through Carahsoft’s GSA Schedule.

The purpose-built offering is in response to the pressing need for federal departments and agencies to comply with the White House Office of Management and Budget Memorandum-21-31 (M-21-31) on ‘Improving the Federal Government’s Investigative and Remediation Capabilities Related to Cybersecurity Incidents’ within two years of its initial published date of August 27, 2021.

“Exabeam’s new user behavior monitoring solution, designed exclusively for federal departments and agencies, highlights Exabeam’s unwavering commitment to empowering the government with advanced cybersecurity capabilities,” said Steve Jacyna, Director of Emerging Cybersecurity Solutions at Carahsoft. “Carahsoft and our reseller partners are fully engaged in delivering this solution to federal agencies, ensuring that they have access to the most advanced technology and expertise required to combat evolving cyber threats.”

“While the detailed guidance in M-21-31 for each level can seem daunting, we are offering federal organizations unique assistance to easily and swiftly achieve compliance with our user and entity behavior analytics (UEBA) technologies,” said Mike Langley, Vice President, Public Sector at Exabeam. “We know that proactive preparation is ideal, and we want to do whatever is possible to assist government agencies in improving their security posture in order to protect systems and sensitive data from any type of compromise.”

Among the compliance levels within M-21-31 that present comprehensive, detailed guidance for logging, orchestration, automation, response, user behavior monitoring, access, and incident visibility, the Exabeam offering will help agencies and departments achieve maturity Level EL3 (Event Logging Tier 3).

Choosing and deploying Exabeam to help meet the requirements for M-21-31 can be made simpler by including customized support options, depending on needs. Through its distribution partner Carahsoft Technology Corp., and a network of authorized resellers, the Exabeam solution is available through Carahsoft’s GSA Schedule No. 47QSWA18D008F, SEWP V contracts NNG15SC03B and NNG15SC27B, ITES-SW2 Contract W52P1J-20-D-0042, Department of Defense ESI BPA Contract # N66001-22-A-0082 and additional State and Local, and Education contracts.
