Carahsoft Hosts 2nd Annual HP Government Summit, May 2-3, 2012 in Washington, D.C. 

Linda Y. Cureton, CIO at NASA; and Casey Coleman, CIO at GSA, Delivering Keynote Addresses 

  

WHAT: Carahsoft Technology Corp., the trusted government IT solutions provider, is hosting the second annual HP Government Summit. Based on the success of last year’s event, the summit has been expanded to two days, and will highlight real-world, practical IT transformation solutions that are already being implemented in government and in the private sector. 

The conference includes tracks for executives, IT managers, and IT operations and development personnel covering HP’s information management, security, operations and applications solutions. Exhibits and demonstrations from HP partners will be available throughout the summit.

WHO: Linda Y. Cureton, Chief Information Officer at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, will deliver the first day’s keynote address: Trailblazing IT’s Future. Leveraging her experience at NASA, she will illustrate how CIOs and their teams must seize and capitalize on new efficiencies and modern platforms. 

Casey Coleman, Chief Information Officer at the General Services Administration, will deliver the second day’s keynote: 5 Proven Steps to Transforming Government. Highlighting her significant accomplishments modernizing GSA, Ms. Coleman will describe GSA’s evolution to a new kind of IT organization much different than before -- and now keenly focused on choreographing services that are secure, compliant and flexible. 

Bob Gourley, Founder and CTO of Crucial Point, LLC, will moderate an afternoon panel discussion with government and industry expert technology leaders including: 

  • Joe Gribble, US Treasury Dept/Bureau of the Public Debt 
  • Simon Szykman, Chief Information Officer, Department of Commerce 
  • Tim Schmidt, Deputy Chief Information Officer, Department of Transportation
