Carahsoft Expands Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation Tools SIN on GSA with Dell EMC Data Protection Suite

Carahsoft CDM SIN for GSA IT Schedule 70 now includes Dell EMC, RSA Security and VMware

RESTON, Va. – August 1, 2018 – Carahsoft Technology Corp., The Trusted Government IT Solutions Provider™, today announced that Dell EMC’s data protection solutions have been added to the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Tools Special Item Number (SIN) 132-44 on Carahsoft’s GSA IT Schedule 70.

The CDM Tools SIN supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) CDM Program to provide a consistent set of continuous diagnostic and mitigation tools for Federal, state, local, regional and tribal governments. Through the SIN, agencies have one centralized location to access pre-vetted CDM offerings.

Dell EMC data protection solutions specifically support CDM requirements for data minimization, backup restore methods, and supporting agency recovery time objectives and recovery point objectives and were added to the SIN after undergoing a DHS product qualification process to certify that they meet the standards of the Approved Products List.

Dell EMC data protection solutions simplify data protection choices, making it easier to access best-of-breed backup, recovery and archive solutions that fit the cybersecurity postures of various federal agencies. The product suite provides comprehensive data protection to enterprise organizations of any size. In addition, Dell EMC data protection solutions protect data by leveraging technology from replication to archive, deliver coverage across all consumption models and protect data no matter its location. Across these capabilities, Dell EMC data protection solutions also offer unique scalability. The product suite can offer protection for over 1 million devices in multiple environments, including data centers, cloud environments, and laptops and desktops.

“We are thrilled to bring Dell EMC data protection solutions to Carahsoft’s CDM SIN,” said Maryam Emdadi Smith, Vice President of the Dell EMC Solutions Team at Carahsoft. “As federal agencies modernize, cybersecurity continues to be a top concern across government IT teams. The CDM program and Carahsoft’s SIN offerings provide a clear route to improving cyber postures and strengthening cyber intelligence sharing across the DHS and participating agencies. Dell EMC’s data protection solutions are a valuable addition to this portfolio for guarding the government’s most sensitive data across multiple environments and devices.”
