VMware's Cloud Disaster Recovery (VCDR), is a leading Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) solution that covers most use cases for vSphere-based workloads and budgets. In a very short summary, Virtual Machines (VMs) are replicated from on-premises and brought up on demand in VMware Cloud (VMC) on AWS or as an instance in VMC called pilot light, where only a minimal deployment is kept on reducing costs while ensuring readiness.
