Rising 13 Ranks on the List of Top Prime Contract Holders

Reston, Va. – September 1, 2017 – CarahsoftTechnology Corp., the Trusted Government IT Solutions Provider™, today announced it has been named as one of Bloomberg Government’s 200 Federal Industry Leaders for the sixth consecutive year. Carahsoft ranked #97, rising 13 ranks from last year.

The sixth annual BGOV200 Federal Industry Leaders Study ranks the top 200 vendors by value of prime, unclassified contracts awarded by U.S. agencies in fiscal 2016. It analyzes the top contracts at 24 agencies and departments and in 27 different purchasing categories. According to the study, Carahsoft’s prime contract obligations in 2016 reached $549 million, an increase of nearly 10 percent over 2015. Total contract spending in fiscal 2016 was $477.8 billion, an eight percent increase from $441.6 billion in fiscal 2015.

Carahsoft ranked second on the list in 2016 prime contract obligations to the Executive Office of the President, third on the list in obligations to the Agriculture Department and fourth on the list in the obligations to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). In addition, Carahsoft earned the 14 ^th rank overall for technology equipment contracts.
