  • Mapbox Navigation

Mapbox’s powerful navigation SDKs and APIs enable you to build a complete range of solutions, from in-app and in-vehicle navigation, to logistics route planning, dispatch and asset tracking. Our maps constantly incorporate newly detected routes, turn restrictions, and speed profiles.

    In-app and in-vehicle turn-by-turn navigation

    ● Build customized, turn-by-turn routing directly into your apps and vehicles. Mapbox’s Directions API uses real-time telemetry data from over 600 million end users to provide the most efficient route guidance and dynamic rerouting based on up-to-date traffic, road conditions, and route deviations. Offline navigation ensures that end-users get where they are going, even in low connectivity environments.

    ● Mapbox offers multimodal routing, with profiles for driving, walking and biking. Voice-based turn and lane guidance are available in over 39 languages.

    ● Mapbox’s Isochrone API allows you to show users what places are within a specified walking, biking, or driving radius from their current location, to help them choose where to go next.

    ● Mapbox’s Navigation SDK provides a drop-in navigation UI for iOS and Android apps that allows developers to get started with fewer than 10 lines of code. They can stick with the intuitive default settings, or customize them as needed.

Route planning, dispatching and asset tracking

    ● Build the most efficient route plans for your drivers based on historical and real-time traffic and ETA data. Calculate the fastest travel times for a set of origins and destinations and optimize the itinerary of complex, multi-stop trips (i.e solve the “traveling salesman problem”.) Mapbox’s Matrix API easily integrates with existing optimization systems, or use our Optimization API, with ETAs and routing logic built in.

    ● Improve dispatching with real-time traffic served ultra-fast, at scale. This means you can cut costs, provide tighter delivery windows and achieve higher throughput from your assets. Monitor performance with a live asset tracking solution. Obtain real-time ETAs for all movements and overlay traffic and weather for smarter decision-making through unexpected changes. Add geofencing so you don’t miss critical changes. Visualize proprietary data like pick-up/drop-off points, while it remains securely on your infrastructure.

Computer Vision-based driver safety, assistance, and AR navigation

    ● The Mapbox Vision SDK uses artificial intelligence and augmented reality to understand and illuminate the driver’s environment from both a street-level perspective and a bird’s-eye view.

    ● The SDK ingests a feed of video from a front-facing camera and then uses AI-powered semantic segmentation, object detection, and classification to convert pixels into data points.

    ● It identifies the objects and variables that define a driver’s journey, to build a real-time understanding of the road. Detect construction, recognize street signs and speed limits, and expose clearly distinguished lanes, curbs, sidewalks, buildings, and potential hazards.

    ● Build a smarter drive without draining your data plan or your wallet -- The Vision SDK’s neural networks are lightweight enough to run on today’s devices, yet powerful enough to make sense of every pixel the connected camera captures.

    ● These capabilities allow developers to deliver precise, lane-level navigation guidance, display safety warnings at the right time (e.g. speeding or tailgating), and build the sensors necessary for autonomous driving.

    ● Fleet managers can use Vision’s detection capabilities to monitor driving conditions, fleet maintenance needs, and store aggregated driver performance data with supporting images and video.

  • Mapbox Search
