Back in 2004, Village Plastics was one of the few companies producing 3D printing filament and were known as an industry leader. At that time, many desktop 3D printer companies obtained their filament from Village Plastics, relabeling it as their own. In 2017, Village Plastics was acquired by Keene Building Products, which sought to refocus the company as an independent supplier of 3D printer filament. Today the company is looking to re-establish themselves as the materials and quality leader in the 3D printing and Thermoplastic welding rod markets. Currently, a wide range of products is offered with the ability to extrude custom products for customers as well.
