  • Wireless

    Advanced 5G capabilities

    • Nokia, in conjunction with Nokia Bell Labs is developing advanced 5G capabilities, such as network sharing, massive multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO), cybersecurity and dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS)

    Industrial-grade Private Wireless

    • Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (DAC)
      • Nokia DAC (Digital Automation Cloud) is an industrial-grade private wireless solution and digitalization enabler platform. The solution offers capabilities beyond connectivity, such as local edge computing, video services and a catalog of applications and end user equipment. It is a compact, easy-to-deploy platform, comprising network equipment, a cloud-based operation monitoring system and industrial connectors that ease standard and industry-specific protocol connectivity.
    • Modular Private Wireless (MPW)
      • Nokia Modular Private Wireless (MPW) solution provides high-performance, low latency, secure and reliable connectivity that is essential to realize mission-critical applications.
  • Network Transformation

TDM-to-IP evolution using Nokia 7705 SAR

    • For years, TDM and SONET/SDH networks have delivered resilient, reliable, and secure voice, video and data services for mission-critical applications. With equipment suppliers discontinuing legacy TDM equipment production and support, and service providers like AT&T and Verizon no longer accepting new TDM circuit requests and now discontinuing circuits in favor of Ethernet, the time to transition is now. Nokia offers a field-proven solution: the 7705 Service Aggregation Router (SAR) for federal agencies and departments needing to move from TDM to IP/Ethernet with continuity of operations.

Secure IP routing using Nokia 7750 SR

    • To support new, mission-critical applications associated with cloud architectures, 5G and Industry 4.0, IP networks must be trusted to provide guaranteed high-performance and secure connectivity. Achieving this is increasingly difficult due to growing threats from network-level attacks and security breaches and to the limited scalability, functionality and cost-effectiveness of IP network security solutions based on appliances and servers. As a network operator, you know you need to find new approaches to address the escalating threat landscape before it impacts your brand reputation and profitability. The solution lies in making IP network security just like packet forwarding — a high-performance, highly scalable capability of the IP network itself. Nokia has pioneered this approach by embedding security into every layer of the IP network infrastructure. IP silicon innovation, a self-defending network operating system (netOS) and multiple security tools work together to provide:
      • Universal, cost-effective protection for all network elements, all customers and all data traversing a service provider’s network.
      • Predictably high IP network/service performance and dataflow confidentiality/integrity
      • Faster identification and mitigation of distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks with minimal false positives and false negatives

Secure Optical transport using Nokia 1830 PSS

    • Network operators need to strengthen security to minimize the risk of loss or breach of sensitive data. Because data is distributed well beyond the organization’s boundaries, network firewalls and other network perimeter technologies are not sufficient in today’s environment. These tools must be supplemented by technologies that protect the data itself, particularly when it is in-flight traversing the network. This means ensuring that data confidentiality and integrity are preserved and that the network is highly available and reliable. The security strategy should include the coordinated use of multiple security countermeasures to protect the integrity of the enterprise’s information assets. The answer is to use a multi-layered defense approach, which offers a higher level of security for all data. With this strategy, organizations can more effectively protect themselves from data breaches while minimizing their impact. The Nokia 1830 Photonic Service Switch (PSS), Nokia 1830 Photonic Service Interconnect (PSI), and Nokia 1830 Security Management Server (SMS) are ideal for this role, providing quantum-safe security at the physical layer (Layer 1).
