Byos Secure Endpoint Edge™ is a small plug-and-play USB-C External Retransmission Device (RD) that delivers “first-hop” protection on untrusted Wi-Fi networks. It provides microsegmentation and route enforcement by replacing the endpoint’s native Wi-Fi, protecting across OSI layers 1-5 by becoming the gateway.

Byos provides the connected endpoint with true isolation from the rest of the network, and fills the gap left by security software - by being the secure ingress/egress point for all internet traffic and by being immune to bypass and stealth attacks originating inside the endpoint’s OS. It uses hardware-enforced microsegmentation across OSI layers 1-5, providing host-independent and FIPS 140-2 Validated protection. By physically isolating endpoints and processing security locally, it prevents lateral movement and enables secure remote access even for legacy assets, without internet exposure. The Byos Secure Embedded Edge™ is an embeddable System on Module (SOM) that acts as a gateway between a laptop and its network. Easily embedded within the laptop through the M.2 port, it replaces the native Wi-Fi module and acts as the first point of contact for all network traffic.
