Trying to Address Endpoint Data at Rest Compliance?

Seagate BarraCuda 515 SED SSD with our partner’s software is available today from Carahsoft, providing government-certified Data-at-Rest security that is far more effective than other data security solutions.

To store confidential data on laptop and desktop PCs, customers must meet stringent government certification requirements including FIPS140, NIAP Common Criteria, and Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC). The Seagate SED with partner software meets those requirements and ensures data is completely secure.

Seagate Barracuda 515 SSD with our partner’s software provides system-level data security using Self-Encrypting Drive (SED) technology with AES-256 hardware encryption. The solution provides:

  • An Operating System agnostic Pre-Boot Authentication, stored in a secure location of the SED.
  • Support for Admin and User roles with username/password and multi-factor authentication using CAC, PIV, Yubikey, and USB tokens.
  • Policy enforced cryptographic data erasure and device lockout.
  • One complete layer of Hardware Full Disk Encryption (HWFDE) under the Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) Data-at-Rest Capability Package 5.
  • National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) Common Criteria evaluated and CSfC approved.

Encrypted data storage is the first line of defense in preventing threats that could adversely impact national security. This Seagate solution meets the government’s requirements for Data-at-Rest and CSfC to store classified data.
