Nitin Natarajan serves as the Deputy Director for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) as of February 16, 2021. In this role, he supports the CISA Director overseeing the Cybersecurity Division, the Infrastructure Security Division, the National Risk Management Center, and the Emergency Communications Division. His operational support responsibilities are to ensure a holistic approach to critical infrastructure protection across physical and cyber risks activities.
Cyber security expert and career public servant with over fifteen years of experience in technology-based initiatives, twelve years of which focused directly on cyber security strategy and program creation and development. Demonstrated leader, confident in managing information technology programs and projects from conception to completion. Excellent communication and rapport-building skills with the ability to convey complex information in a manner understood by both technical and non-technical individuals. Proven change leader with a track record of providing innovative security solutions which strengthen security posture while maintaining effective and efficient business operations.
