Data continues to play a critical role in health transformation by providing new ways to improve outcomes, increase access to care and accelerate the rate at which novel therapeutics and treatments are available. Yet the potential value that data brings to these fundamental challenges in healthcare is not fully realized due to common data challenges around access, understanding, trust and a need to protect individual privacy. Data Intelligence is the ability to understand and use your data in the right way. It is the output or result of connecting the right data, insights and algorithms to allow to clinicians, researchers and administrators to optimize processes, increase efficiency and drive innovation. The panel will look at how the Federal Government is applying the concepts of Data Intelligence to unlock the potential value in federal health.
