to Government Agencies

Partnership with Yubico Brings FIPS 140-2 Validated YubiKey to the Public Sector

RESTON, Va. — September 12, 2023 — Carahsoft Technology Corp., The Trusted Government IT Solutions Provider^®, today announced it is partnering with Yubico, the leading provider of phishing-resistant hardware authentication security keys, to serve as Yubico’s Master Government Aggregator^®. Carahsoft will make Yubico’s phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication and Zero Trust security architecture solutions available to the Public Sector through Carahsoft’s reseller partners and GSA Schedule, NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) V, Information Technology Enterprise Solutions – Software 2 (ITES-SW2), National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance (NCPA) and OMNIA Partners and contracts.

Yubico is the inventor of the YubiKey 5 FIPS Series and the YubiHSM 2 FIPS, both of which are FIPS 140-2 validated in accordance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD 12). Yubico offers these products to agencies, providing high-assurance, phishing-resistant multifactor and passwordless authentication that protects user access to computers, networks and online services. The YubiKey supports PIV, CAC, and modern strong credentialing without peripheral devices, enabling phishing-resistant authentication for non-traditional users such as non PIV/CAC eligible and privileged users, BYOD/BYOAD, closed/air-gapped/legacy networks, and Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and coalition partners.

The Government is engaged in an expansive effort to improve its cybersecurity infrastructure and protect its assets. Yubico’s Zero Trust security and phishing-resistant multifactor authentication capabilities empower Government agencies to comply with many of the new cybersecurity regulations they are required to meet such as the White House Executive Order 14028 on Protecting the nation’s cybersecurity, Office of Management and Budget Memo M-22-09 and the National Security Memorandum-8.
