Carahsoft Hosts 5th Annual Symantec Government Technology Summit on March 20, 2012 

Gigi Schumm, Vice President and General Manager of Symantec's Public Sector, and Joel Brenner, Author and Former Top-Level National Security Agency Insider, Delivering Keynote Addresses 

WHAT: Carahsoft Technology Corp., the trusted government IT solutions provider, is hosting the 5TH Annual Symantec Government Technology Summit. The one-day conference will explore future and current IT trends including the: 

• Widespread adoption of virtualization and how to manage it 
• Increasing borders of where data resides, “Open-ness of Data” 
• Consumerization of IT and the Evolution of the Endpoint  
• Transparency of government and handling FOIA requests 
• Evolution of the cyber threat landscape 

The program will also feature hands-on labs and eight interactive sessions providing an in-depth look at Symantec’s Management and Security portfolio. 

WHO: The full-day conference will be kicked off by a keynote address from Gigi Schumm. Ms. Schumm is in charge of all sales, strategic, and operational functions associated with Symantec's Public Sector business which works to improve the ability to protect and manage critical information for U.S. federal, state, and local governments. Joel Brenner, former inspector general of the National Security Agency and head of counterintelligence for the director of national intelligence, will deliver the luncheon keynote. He will discuss his latest book, America the Vulnerable, which reflects his experience in contending with digital espionage, crime, and warfare.
