Blockchain technology, while originally intended for humanitarian and financial empowerment, is increasingly exploited by threat actors for illicit purposes like sanctions evasion, ransomware, and terrorism financing. Despite perceptions of anonymity, the inherent transparency of public blockchains enables law enforcement to use blockchain intelligence (BLOCKINT) to detect, disrupt, and counter these digital threats on the modern cyber battlefield.
