Forescout Carahsoft SE Webinar

Forescout User Group - SLED & Canada

Event Date: March 01, 2022
Hosted By: Forescout & Carahsoft

During this customer care session, we discussed how to use Forescout for:

  • Device Discovery and Classification including Rogue Device Detection and the ability to see all devices that are connected to a network. The Forescout platform provides up to 800 data points per device that it finds for full, real-time contextual information pivotal to Zero Trust.
  • Pre and Post Connect Compliance Assessment to ensure that all devices on your network adhere to the set of standards required in any compliance frameworks you may be following. Auto-remediation and notifications are all possible actions to be taken once Forescout identifies a non-compliant device on your network at any point.
  • Network Segmentation and Network Access Control to properly quarantine and/or restrict unauthorized or non-compliant connected devices. This can be done with or without 802.1x, MAB, and Cert-Based authentication.

Setting the New Standard in Secure Software Development: The SolarWinds Next-Generation Build System

The December 2020 SUNBURST cyberattack on the SolarWinds software build environment illustrated a concerning new reality for the software industry and illuminated the increasingly sophisticated threats made by outside nation-states to the supply chains and infrastructure on which we all rely.

SolarWinds and the software industry have evolved dramatically since SUNBURST. With the goal of setting a new standard in secure software development, our next generation build system incorporates the lessons learned from our work with cybersecurity experts, open-source thought leaders, customers, engineers, and developers. The work developed as part of our next-generation build system will be shared with the open-source community in 2022 to advance the security standards for all those we serve.
