Databricks came back to Reston, VA from April 1-2 for an introductory, hands-on course on Databricks Data Engineering.  

This firsthand training covered the components of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. Attendees leveraged structured query language (SQL) and Python to define and schedule pipelines that incrementally process new data from a variety of data sources which power analytic applications and dashboards in the Platform. 

This course offered hands-on instruction with Databricks Data Science & Engineering Workspace, Databricks SQL, Delta Live Tables, Databricks Repos, Databricks Task Orchestration and the Unity Catalog.

Data experts provided the tactics and techniques for:

• Data ingestion with Delta Lake
• Deploying workloads with Databricks Workflows
• Building data pipelines with Delta Live Tables
• Data management and governance with Unity Catalog
