Introduction to Analytics with Alteryx

Event Date: October 12, 2022
Hosted By: Alteryx & Carahsoft
Attendees joined an interactive session on conducting end-to-end analysis. To start off, they unpack how Federal, State, and Local agencies are utilizing data-driven approaches to enhance their operations, including reconciliation, risk assessment, and data deduplication.

Alteryx went hands-on and learn how to apply these techniques. Attendees learned how to bring in and merge different sources of data, ensure data quality by conducting exploratory analysis, and enhance your decision making by performing basic analysis. Whether attendees were new to working with data or were experienced data gurus, they walked away with skills and ideas that were applicable to their challenges.

During this hands-on lab, attendees learned how to:
  • Build repeatable processes to streamline data driven workflows
  • Create analysis-ready data by conducting data quality checks and applying data cleansing techniques
  • Conduct end-to-end analytics (data ingestion, data exploration, modeling, visualization, and reporting) from any source of data

Case Study

Securing Water Facilities

Water purification and wastewater facilities are critical for the population of the regions and municipalities they serve. Safe and clean water is essential for public health, ecosystem protection and economic strength. The treatment of black water and re-capture of gray water is also important for population safety and conservation efforts. At the same time, new developments add to the already long list of challenges, including intra-agency mutual aid agreements, changing operational paradigms and new regulatory compliance standards such as the AWIA. Supporting these important functions requires secured information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT).
