Cloud-native applications often rely on Kubernetes. No doubt your cloud-native teams are using the world’s leading open-source certificate manager, cert-manager to manage TLS certificates for ingresses and/or mTLS for microservices communications between Kubernetes pods. While this gives these teams access to a fast way to automatically manage these certificates, it doesn’t necessarily provide your organization’s security team with assurance that these certs are compliant with security policy. Worse still, they might even be configured incorrectly which could lead to the reliability of your production systems.
