This Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) is an Enterprise Software Agreement (ESA) as defined in DFARS 208.74. DFARS Section 208.74 directs software buyers and requiring officials to check the Department of Defense (DoD) ESI website for DoD inventory or an ESA before using another method of acquisition.

The DoD has designated the Splunk BPA as a Core Enterprise Technology Agreement (CETA). The CETA designation provides additional value and accelerated access to Splunk technology across the DOD. The CETA designation also means the ESI BPA is now a mandatory use contracting vehicle for all acquisitions of Splunk products and services across the DOD.

CETA benefits include:

  • Best-in-class terms and conditions
  • Higher volume-based discounts and licensing flexibility
  • Consolidated procurement providing a one-stop shop for Splunk products

DoD ESI has awarded this Blanket Purchase Agreement for Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) software products which includes: software licenses, subscriptions, maintenance, support, and services to support Information Technology (IT) operations across the DoD enterprise.  This is a ten-year agreement with a period of performance from 10 February 2020 to 14 July 2029.
