Submissions are now open for the annual IT Pro Day Awards. Since 2015, this prestigious awards program has honored the experts who make our computer systems run smoothly. The IT Pro Day holiday will be celebrated this year on Tuesday, September 20.
Created by Solarwinds, a leading provider of simple, powerful, and secure IT management software, IT Pro Day recognizes the crucial but often-unseen work IT pros do to keep our computer networks operating.
Computer systems are necessary for every organizational function. As enterprises embrace new technologies in their digital transformations, their reliance on IT experts has only grown. And as remote and hybrid work become the norm, IT support plays a more crucial role.
Yet the IT teams who ensure hardware, software, email, websites, and more run smoothly might be overlooked. IT Pro Day honors the mission-critical work IT teams do daily to ensure organizations can function and succeed.
The IT Pro Day Awards are open to IT practitioners around the world in these categories:
Rookie of the Year: This award recognizes an IT pro new to the profession who’s making an immediate impact. That might be by developing new skills, contributing to the success of a challenging project, or driving measurable results for the business.
Rockstar of the Year: This award honors an IT pro who went above and beyond the usual IT call of duty. Maybe they executed on a shoestring budget, picked up extra shifts to make up for staff shortages, took on a challenging request, or led a project which generated tangible business results.
IT Mentor of the Year: The Mentor of the Year award honors a seasoned IT pro who has shared expertise or offered guidance to empower others to be successful. This person leads by example, fosters growth and development, and shows commitment to advancing the organization.This award recognizes an individual who has experimented with or implemented something new and noteworthy. That could be conceiving a new DevOps approach, rolling out automation, exploring the role of data-driven operations, or more.
Trailblazer: This award recognizes an individual who has experimented with or implemented something new and noteworthy. That could be conceiving a new DevOps approach, rolling out automation, exploring the role of data-driven operations, or more.
Anyone can nominate colleagues, peers, or friends for an IT Pro Day award. The entry process is fast and straightforward, with one brief online form to complete. The deadline for entry is Friday, September 2. Winners will be announced Tuesday, September 20.
