Overview

BasicGov offers a comprehensive operations management platform that enables government to automate, streamline, and innovate operations to optimize costs while ensuring the efficient delivery of quality services to citizens.

With the BasicGov solution:

  • Customer service responds to expected demands of self-service capabilities including online payments;
  • Administrative tasks become automated and resource time maximized;

Users can create, capture and securely store all types of documents (i.e. certificates, licenses, regulations, tickets/citations/legal orders, operations guide, payments, invoices, etc.) streamlining the licensing and/or inspections process by easily collaborating among staff and between agencies to save time, paper, and storage cost. Government agencies and departments can increase productivity through the use of a single application by automatically routing documents for reviews and approvals.

Additionally, information sharing is improved by capturing and reviewing investigations, integrating with other systems (i.e. GIS), backend systems, and public website providing a 360 degree view of all information and interactions.

Salesforce

The BasicGov solution is hosted on the Salesforce Force.com cloud platform. The BasicGov commercial off the shelf (COTS) solution features all the elements needed to deliver government cloud applications with the Salesforce portal and Salesforce platform as the underlying infrastructure.

For additional security requirements, the BasicGov solution can be made available on the Salesforce Government cloud. The Salesforce Government Cloud is a portion of Salesforce’s multitenant public cloud infrastructure, specifically partitioned for use by Federal, state, and local government agencies, including the U.S. Department of Defense, as well as the community of government contractors and Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs).     Modules/Solutions

    ■ BasicGov modules manage all critical licensing/certification, permitting, and inspection functions from application to approval including managing the application intake, inspection order, workflow, and status. If required, inspections can be assigned by a variety of factors including zone, specialty, or a combination of other factors.

    ■ The platform provides the ability to generate ad-hoc reports on the fly using an easy-to-use report configuration wizard. BasicGov can also provide options for online/offline mobile inspection access.

    ■ BasicGov products are 100% cloud-based and requires no hardware or software installation. We offer a Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) solution that resides in the cloud and can be securely accessed from the your existing systems, so long as an Internet connection is present.

    • Permitting
      • Manages all critical permitting and inspection functions from application to approval including managing the inspection order, workflow, submissions, and status.
    • Inspections

      • Helps manage inspector itineraries, inspection checklists, decisions, results, ordinance, and violation input. Available on a tablet-type as well as offline, if required.
    • Code Enforcement
      • Manage and track all code enforcement cases from complaint to resolution including aging parcels with code violations, generating compliance dates, automating notifications, and preparing documents for boards.
    • Licensing
      • Helps you renew licenses faster, collect licensing revenues on time, improve budgeting, track certifications, and manage cash flow. BasicGov ensures your revenue is maximized due to automation of common everyday tasks related to licensing for local businesses, contractors, animals, health matters, liquor control, and many other license types.
    • Planning

      • Helps you become productive and organize the complex processes involved in managing development and community projects. Event-driven tasks automatically schedule notifications, proceedings, hearings, and other critical deadlines and milestones.
    • ESRI GIS Connector

      • ESRI-GIS Connector Tool integrates your existing ESRI-GIS Server spatial data with BasicGov. It adds visual analysis capabilities to BasicGov. BasicGov ESRI-GIS tool reduces complexity by providing your staff with map-based tools to manage all land use, zoning, and relevant information related to a parcel, permit, inspection, plan, or code violation.
    • Fund Accounting

      • Provides a centralized toolset to view, input, and manage cash and receivables, corrections and distributions, and accounting reports. The One-Stop Portal will communicate transaction events via files, emails, and reports to and from departments to support the financial reconciliation process.
    • Payment Cart

      • A set of tools that provide an Amazon.com-style shopping cart that allows for multiple items to be paid for across multiple departments. When used with the Fund Accounting Module, the combined offering allows for the easy allocation and reconciliation of funds to appropriate accounts. Payment Cart also features back end tools for refunds and other processes. Features are dependent on available features in the payment gateway.
    • Letters Engine

      • An optional, and commonly required module to generate certificates, create inspection reports, receipts, invoices, and other physical documents.
    • Dynamic Rules Engine

      • A comprehensive set of tools to assist in the workflow configuration process and eliminates the need to write custom code to create workflow process. Unique to BasicGov on the Salesforce platform, the Dynamic Rules Engine (DRE) was developed specifically to automate and simplify the triggering of more complex rules that Permitting/Inspections, Licensing, and Code Enforcement systems require, such as, complex approvals, notification, and re-inspections.
