Tempered Networks is the pioneer of Identity-Defined Networking (IDN), driving a new networking paradigm that bases trust on the host identity itself, not spoofable IP addresses. IDN supports government efforts to simplify and unify networking and security challenges, overcoming today’s complex and inherently vulnerable networks. Our solution delivers the industry’s most extensible, secure networking overlay fabric, with automated policy-based orchestration, making it simple to instantly connect or disconnect any IP resource with another, located anywhere in the world—on-premises, virtual or cloud.
Tempered Networks’ IDN solutions are tailor made for federal government agencies, including technology’s underpinnings used in highly sensitive DoD deployments. Our solutions are FIPS certified, support PCI compliance and provide added levels of inherent security not available from any other vendor.
Discover how Tempered Networks can provide you with the most flexible and extensible network architecture, while giving you unbreakable security for protection against new threats.
In an identity-first architecture, all provable host identities across the fully encrypted fabric are centrally managed through the Conductor, a powerful management and orchestration engine. The Conductor drives simple configuration of policy, collects metrics, and enforces explicit trust relationships through devicebased whitelisting based on unique Cryptographic IDs (CIDs) issued to any HIP Service. It is important to note that no network traffic flows through the Conductor; its role is strictly managing trust policies to each HIP Service and connected resources. SimpleConnect™ RESTful API: Enable integration and automation with other security and networking services like directory services, SIEMs, monitoring tools, and others. Instant quarantine or failover (for example) can now be automated based on events detected by these systems, enabling organizations to build adaptive networks that can respond to events in real time.
Use Tempered Networks' HIPswitch for cloud to instantly connect, protect, segment, move, failover, and disconnect your cloud-based instances and applications anywhere in the world, with unprecedented speed and simplicity. Deploying and maintaining intra-cloud (region-to-region), cloud-to-cloud, and cloud-to-data center cryptographic trust-based communications becomes a simple three-click verifiable operation.
The HIPswitch 300v virtual appliance is offered on multiple virtual platforms, including VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, and KVM. Optionally configurable as a high availability pair.
The HIPswitch 100 series has the smallest footprint of the small form factor HIPswitch hardware line, and is purpose-built for commercial and industrial environments, with optional cellular capabilities for AT&T, GCI Alaska, T-Mobile, Verizon in the US, and Rogers and Telus in Canada. These platforms are ideally suited to easily network and cloak endpoints, machines or hosts that can’t have software directly installed and effectively protect themselves. HIPswitch 100 series is a great option for protecting hospital medical devices, Point of Sale (PoS) terminals, SCADA and Industrial Control Systems (ICS), HVAC infrastructure, IoT devices, and robots. The HIPswitch 100 series seamlessly connects to any network with wired Ethernet, Serial-Over-IP, and cellular connections (supporting 2G, 3G, 4G LTE modems). Automatic failover is included, and cellular enabled models can replace your existing cellular modems for significant CapEx and OpEx savings.
The HIPswitch 200 series is a mid-range small form factor platform, also purpose built for commercial and industrial deployments, but with twice the performance of the HIPswitch 100 series. Ideally suited for protecting field deployed devices, including hospital medical devices, fixed or mobile Point of Sale (PoS) systems, SCADA and Industrial Control Systems (ICS), HVAC infrastructure, IoT devices, and robotics, the HIPswitch 200 series offers both cellular and WiFi connectivity options, and includes automatic failover across these connection types. The HIPswitch 200 cellular platform supports AT&T and T-Mobile in the US (2G, 3G, 4G LTE modems). As with the HIPswitch 100 series, the 200 series cellular model can replace existing cellular modems for significant CapEx and OpEx savings.
The HIPswitch 400 series is a 1U rack-mounted scalable, secure networking platform. Designed to support mission-critical applications and servers throughout your organization, it’s the ideal choice for data center and enterprise network devices, machines or hosts that contain sensitive information, like financial servers, HR applications, 3rd party web services, or any systems with personally identifiable information (PII). The HIPswitch 400 platform maximizes scalability, offering 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports standard, with optional SFP and 10G SFP+ expansion modules. HIPswitch 400 series software subscriptions start at 1Gpbs throughput and go up to 3Gbps throughput, allowing customers to start smaller and pay as they grow. High availability (HA) configurations are also available for seamless failover.
