Over the past several years, government has felt the pressure from citizens to use mobile for communication. In response, the public sector was able to quickly brainstorm ways to tap into widespread mobile usage and communicate outbound messages to citizens.

Mobile is here to stay within the government workforce. In one study by Lookout, federal agencies surveyed reported that 50% of government workers now use their personal device for work email and 49% use those devices to download work related documents.
