David S. LinthicumDavid S. Linthicum, CTO and Founder, Blue Mountain Labs
David Linthicum is an internationally recognized industry expert and thought leader in the world of cloud computing, and the author and coauthor of 15 books on computing, including the best-selling Enterprise Application Integration and his latest book Cloud Computing and SOA Convergence. David keynotes at many leading technology conferences on cloud computing, SOA, Web 2.0, and enterprise architecture, and has appeared on a number of TV and radio shows as a computing expert. He is a blogger for InfoWorld, Intelligent Enterprise, eBizq.net, and Forbes covering cloud computing topics, as well as the the guest host for This Week in Cloud Computing, as well as his own podcast, The Cloud Computing Podcast.

Dave's industry experience includes tenure as CTO and CEO of several successful companies, and upper-level management positions in Fortune 100 companies. In addition, Dave was an associate professor of computer science for eight years, and he continues to lecture at major technical colleges and universities including the University of Virginia, Arizona State University, and the University of Wisconsin.

Bryan Salek, Senior Solutions Engineer, VMware
Bryan Salek is an End User Computing Solutions Architect on VMware's Federal team. He works with customers and partners to successfully deploy mobility solutions. He has been with VMware for more than four years and formerly worked as a Technical Account Manager for both commercial and federal customers. Prior to VMware, Bryan worked for a large systems integrator on several IT service contracts for DoD organizations since leaving the U.S. Air Force in 2002.


Jad El-Zein, CIM Solutions Architect Staff, VMware
Jad El-Zein is a Cloud Infrastructure Management (CIM) Solutions Architect on VMware's Federal Center of Excellence (CoE) team. As the lead architect of the CIM CoE team, Jad focuses on driving adoption of VMware's vCloud Solutions while addressing the unique mission-sensitive needs and objectives of the federal marketplace. Jad has more than 16 years of experience in the IT industry, including an 11-year tenure with Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Sensors, and has spent much of the last 6 years focusing on datacenter optimization and emerging cloud technologies. His background includes expertise in datacenter and cloud architectures, systems engineering, and leading, defining, and executing IT transformations in the enterprise. Jad also maintains the vArchitect blog (www.virtualjad.com), which highlights emerging cloud technologies and provides technical insight to several VMware-focused solutions.


Rob Randell, Principal Systems Engineer, VMware
Rob Randell is a Principal Systems Engineer on VMware's Federal Center of Excellence Team, where he is responsible for working with customers to help them understand the security stance of VMware and its platforms. Rob has more than 14 years of experience in the IT world and more than 10 years in the security industry. Rob came to VMware as part of the acquisition of Determina, which provided software to support true zero-day protection of the most critical memory based vulnerabilities. Prior to Determina, Rob was a Senior SE at Webroot Software Systems Engineer and Vericept Corporation in which he was responsible for building the SE team. Rob spent more than six years prior to these positions on the operations side of the house managing and securing datacenters in the telecom industry.


Jimmy Oyenini, Solutions Engineer, VMware
Jimmy Oyenini is a vFabric specialist with VMware, who has deep knowledge in platform as a service and data management solutions. He has more than 15 years of experience implementing and architecting server side technologies, and is currently TOGAF certified. Prior to VMware, Jimmy was a Principle Sales Consultant at Oracle, working on the Fusion Middleware and E2.0 products such as WebLogic Suite (Coherence, JRockit, AD4J, OEM, Glassfish, IAS), SOA Suite, Data Integration, Web Center Suite, and Governance solutions. He enjoys architecting solutions ranging from simple J2EE projects to complex Service Oriented Architecture comprising of B2B, BPEL, Service Bus, messaging such as JMS and AMQP with RabbitMQ, Business Activity Monitoring, complex event processing, web services policy manager, Business Process Manager, and others.
