For over a decade, the US Federal Government has relied on Trusted Internet Connection Access Providers (TICAPs) and commercial carriers designated as Managed Trusted IP Service (MTIPS) providers as the first line of cyber defense. This program intentionally added chokepoints for monitoring and enforcement , but most agencies still rely on legacy approaches and standalone security functions for blind enforcement. Advances in performance, network security efficacy, communication standards, intelligence transmission, and orchestration now provide an opportunity for security architects to develop an elegant and consistent gateway that can actually reduce the number of incidents over time.
During this lunch and learn, we will discuss:
The Increasing Importance of Simplified Gateway Design
Implications of SDN and SDWAN
Use of a Security Delivery Platform to Enable Inline Tools
Types of Network Security Enforcement
Tactical Enforcement vs. Cumulative Intelligence Based Enforcement

Comprehensive Endpoint Security: As endpoints proliferate, and the bring-your-own-device (BYOD) mentality becomes more pervasive, organizations face rapidly increasing security risks. Older endpoint protection platforms (EPPs) use static blocking to keep out known threats. But as attackers have beco...
