Jabber MomentIM

Jabber MomentIM^™ — Jabber, Inc.'s AIM^® certified, Windows desktop client — has generated a lot of excitement due to its combination of responsiveness, extensibility, and robust enterprise instant messaging (EIM) functionality. This brandable, feature-rich, and programmable EIM client is designed to work with the industry leading Jabber Extensible Communications Platform^™ (Jabber XCP^™).

Compared to other instant messaging (IM) clients, Jabber MomentIM delivers a significantly smaller hard disk footprint, download size, and memory footprint while maintaining consistently high performance. Many customers choose Jabber products because they require a highly scalable and reliable solution, and Jabber MomentIM has been load tested to meet the highest performance standards. The client provides full access to and tight integration with Microsoft^® Windows XP, and Vista^™ capabilities. Its extensible, COM-based plug-in architecture comes with development tools to help customers, third party developers, and open-source developers create plug-ins and add functionality to the core client to match their specific organizational needs.

The new Jabber MomentIM 5.4 client not only delivers the same core capabilities as the original, but also many enhancements designed to improve the appearance and overall usability of the application.

EIM users will find all of our industry-leading client features in Jabber MomentIM including persistent group chat, user-defined hotkeys, notifications and presence settings, integration with web conferencing and other collaboration tools, advanced file transfer (AFT), and interoperability with AOL^® Instant Messenger^™ (AIM^®), Google^™ Talk, and other IM clients. Power users will appreciate features such as an activity list and most active/recent contacts for managing a large number of conversations, message prioritization for "high priority" flagging, keyword filtering, and a single interface for one-to-one and group chat histories. Other advanced features are available in the form of plug-ins and are sold separately.

• Quick Conference
  Users can invite contacts to an auto-created temporary group chat.



• External Domain Banner
  Displays a warning banner if engaged in one-to-one or group chat with a contact from an external domain.



• Microsoft^® Outlook^® Integration
  Presence is automatically derived from the Outlook calendar. Chats can be initiated with a single click from within Outlook's mail and contact interfaces.



• Disable Outflows
  Provides the ability to restrict copy and print functionality in group and one-to-one chats.
