Government Online Seminar:
Adobe Solutions for VA | Information Assurance to Protect PII for Employees and Veterans

Join Carahsoft and Adobe for a discussion around the VA's needs and issues surrounding Personally Identifiable Information (PII). We'll discuss best practices and lessons learned from other agencies, as well as information about how the VA can use Adobe's LiveCycle solutions to assist with challenges surrounding Personally Identifiable Information!

Adobe solutions can improve that VA's ability to manage daily, repetitive tasks more efficiently and securely, allowing you to focus more on serving employees and veterans. The solutions offer powerful security capabilities that promote the collection and sharing of information even beyond the firewall while continuing to protect sensitive PII from unauthorized access or alteration. To further address fraud and abuse situations, the platform can reduce the challenges of manual data collection by eliminating redundant data entry tasks that cause costly delays and errors.

During this online seminar you will learn about:
  • Issues surrounding PII data collection and information sharing processes
  • Best practices for securing document based information
  • Lessons learned while addressing information assurance challenges

Did You Know?

In January 2008, the General Accountability Office (GAO) issued a report finding that there are numerous breaches of security for PII. (GAO-08-343 ). Based on the findings in GAO's review, OMB announced that they will be tracking agencies' compliance with the privacy and security requirements. Those that do not comply will be downgraded in their scores for E-Government progress on the President's Management Agenda Scorecard.
