Asankya commercialized the RAPID protocol for improving network performance and reliability. Developed at Georgia Tech with initial funding from the National Science Foundation, RAPID intelligently and dynamically characterizes network conditions to maximize all available resources by discovering and utilizing multiple data paths, overcoming protocol limitations, and avoiding redundant packet transmissions. The technology has been recognized for its pioneering contribution to wireless and mobile computing research, winning awards from Association of Computing Machinery (ACM SIGMOBILE) and Motorola.

RAPIDnode™
The RAPIDnode™ is an enterprise class rack mountable device that prepares IP traffic for optimization. The RAPIDnode™ is responsible for dynamically identifying the optimal paths for a data session based on destination locations and network conditions. The device effectively coordinates the splitting and transmission of data packets along those paths and performs intelligence optimization of the underlying protocol. RAPIDnode™ devices act as a layer-2 network bridge and are available with dual 10/100/1000 Copper Ethernet ports with fail-to-wire bypass capabilities, as well as off-path deployment options.
